I'm currently living in Berlin.
In addition to pursuing a Meisterschüler degree with Prof. Dr. Alberto de Campo at UdK Berlin, I do freelance work in music, sound and media art.
I have performed live and exhibited works both in Germany and internationally, mostly in Berlin and Japan.
Since 2023, I am an active member of the Society for Nontrivial Pursuits.
Since 2021, I am involved with the record label Sweet Nectar Tapes. My first LP FOOL OR GENIOUS was released physically and digitally in 2024.
I am offering sound, composition and music production services, e.g. for film, theater or dance productions. Furthermore, I can offer technical support and solutions for sound and/or intermedia installations, multi-channel spatial sound scenarios and more.
I specialise in hybrid approaches to sound, meaning I combine the "best of both worlds" in terms of analog and digital instruments, arrangement and processing. At the center of my sound-based practice is a unique instrumentarium consisting of analog and modular synthesizers, vintage samplers, microphones, acoustic and self-built instruments, amplifiers, various mixers and effects units. As much as I enjoy intuitive, open workflows with hardware, I also passionately use code (SuperCollider, Max) for sound design, composition and generative installation. My experience in recording, producing and mixing spans more than 12 years. I've started doing freelance work in 2024.

The forgotten value of rest touches on the importance of rest and recovery. It uses fallows in general and a specific area in Mannheim, my hometown, as a concrete example to discuss the discrepancy between ecological and societal needs for recreation and the economical and political interests of the elite. The model landscape with the work title imprinted in the grass serves as a visual anchor for the narration, which lays out the surroundings of the cut-out model landscape.

The abundance of convenience stores and shinto shrines is a prominent feature of Japanese society and culture. Amidst the common sense that they are visually incompatible, I like to imagine them as partners in symbiosis, rather than opponents. After all, they share a common space in Japan's infrastructure – and are open 24/7 for people to visit and take care of their needs, be it spiritual or mundane ones.

Slowly but surely, cherished channels of communication and entertainment like FM radio or linear television are vanishing into obsolescence – they are clearing their spot at the top of the Olympus of entertainment technologies to make space for algorithmic and machine learning driven systems.
As their respective paths down and up the podium stairs cross, they permeate each other for a brief moment in time.
This work was developed as part of the Timesca(p/l)es group exhibition of the class for generative/computational art at UdK Berlin. I approached all winning songs of the Eurovision Song Contest's over 70 years long history as a corpus of material for a machine listening algorithm to analyze, dissect and reassemble into new compositions. Realized with SuperCollider and FluCoMa.

I remember sitting in the back of my parent’s car, bound for some vacation destination, watching the landscapes brush past the window; I remember breathing against the glass pane in order to fog it up so i could use it as a surface for doodling; I remember falling into a daydream, transforming the real landscapes outside into fantastic worlds...
When I found a disposed-of (but brand new) car door frame on the streets, I decided to use it as a portal to my childhood fantasies through this experience.
I believe that everybody has made similar experiences. The idea to connect not only to my personal memories, but also to a shared idea of childhood, appeals a lot to me.

oscillation investigates circular and linear movements within space and time, the concrete and the abstract, the real and the virtual. These dichotomies are being elaborated by employing extended techniques within analog image media. An intuitive workflow introduces elements of surprise and celebrates the aesthetics of pre-digital technologies, transporting them into a post-digital context.
Animations are produced on a modified Vectrex videogame console with built-in vector screen, similar to that of an XYZ-oscilloscope. By using the technique of double exposure, the animations are then superimposed on top of footage filmed in the streets of Berlin.
